A discreet, precise transformation designed as a conversation with the existing structure.

Untouched since it was built, this 1960s architect-designed house featured strong lines typical of modernism. Épicène chose to evolve the layout while preserving the spirit of the original design.
Partitions give way to bookcases, openwork screens, and glazed openings that define the space without enclosing it. Passageways widen, volumes gain generosity, and light flows through. Travertine, wood tones, straw, and terracotta form a restrained yet sensitive palette, echoing the home’s initial aesthetic.
A warm minimalism emerges, where the pure original lines converse with the everyday life of a contemporary family.

A renovation carried out in partnership with Archik.
