THE ROASTER'S LABORATORY
Flagship for a specialty coffee brand
CASE STUDY
MISSION
To design a hybrid venue combining a coffee store and a coffee shop, conceived as a tool for sales and customer loyalty, supporting the brand's premium positioning.
KEY OBJECTIVES
To attract passers-by from the street, to structure clear customer journeys between purchasing, advice, and consumption, and to showcase the expertise of both the roaster and the barista.
CONCEPT
An open laboratory at the crossroads of a roasting workshop, an artist's studio, and an experimental space. A place where coffee is discovered, understood, and savored.
LAYOUT & ORGANIZATION
-
A central counter centralizing ordering, expert advice, and pick-up.
-
Featured "lead" products visible from the entrance to encourage impulse purchases.
-
A quieter consumption area, conducive to spending time and lingering.
ATMOSPHERE
A contrast between noble materials (walnut, marble, velvet) and repurposed industrial elements (perforated sheet metal, white tiling, glass blocks).
